I have met a very interesting guy on Linkedin. His name is John Curtis and he is one of the UK’s leading low carbon transport experts, marketeers and journalists. He is a motoring columnist for the Daily Record and a regular expert on BBC Scotland. He also seems like a very nice guy – easy to connect and converse with.
I discovered him through an amazing project he is working on – converting 10 modern classics to electric. This tapped into my recent headache – which family car to get next.
After being an active supporter of #ShellNo campaign against Shell drilling in the Arctic and generally being pro-renewables, it felt wrong to buy another diesel. Yet, my budget is so small that I can’t afford electric – even used models are still relatively new and so expensive. I felt hopeless. Then I reached out to John for advice. Below my Linkedin correspondence with him. If you are facing a similar dilemma, hope this helps!
